NOTE #1 Not playable due to lag, runs like slideshow (but runs) Note #1 Needs DirectX 10.1, error on startup NOTE #1 No in-game video options so it needs config file NOTE #1 In normal gameplay can run in 40+ FPS, but when swinging through town it drops to 8-10 FPS NOTE #1 Runs smooth, but controls are not enough responsive
INTEL GMA 950 GAMES MODS
NOTE #1 Use edited config file and couple of mods to get smooth experience ! NOTE #1 Use windowed mode to disable VSYNC and gain FPS boost!
NOTE #1 Runs and can be played, but not smooth and responsive NOTE #1 Not smooth gameplay, lowering resolution to 640x480 just cuts off half of the screen Note #1 Gettings error, MSAA need to be turned off, GMA doesn't support it. No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way NOTE #1 May have some stutter while entering bigger areas (only then), and use config file NOTE #1 Use configuration and profile file to lower resolution, but not necessary. NOTE #1 Has problems with big areas, needs partial "looking into ground trick" And whole game is in water so it is not playable. It drops fps in interaction with big amounts of water because of water physics. Note #1 Playable in area without water or small amounts of water.
INTEL GMA 950 GAMES UPDATE
Note #1 Needs update 1.4.5.3 to work with GMA4500 Note #1 It can run without config edit, but runs better with editing Note #1 It needs DirectX 10 graphics card, GMA 4500M/HD doesn't support it Problem is that V-Sync can't be disabled, if you can disable V-Sync than you will get more FPS and it will run great. Note #1 More FPS only with use of 3D Analyze, still needs partial "looking into ground trick" Note #1 Needs config edit to run smoothly Note #1 It runs but it's not fluid all the times Note #1 More FPS due to editing config file Note #1 Runs but it is slow during big onscreen battles Note #1 Lower resolution and all video options, but to me it is not fully enjoyable because of Note #1 Set Shader Quality to Medium to avoid graphical glitchesįPS 15+ (15-25 open area, 20-50 closed area) Note #1 Runs slow but playable, problem with movement accuracy at low fps Note #1 Running very slow in big areas, but running good in smaller areas or when watching down.
INTEL GMA 950 GAMES 64 BIT
Note #1 Game didn't work on 64 bit system for me. Note #1 Runs great in closed areas, but in large stutters Star Wars The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition Note #1 To start game you need fix, download From Dust Fix.rar and extract file to main From Dust folder in Program Files Note #1 Stutters and needs heavy optimization in config file
Note #1 Not entirely smooth, depends on RAM and CPU Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse (USE SEARCH (ctrl + f) TO FIND GAME YOU NEED): (runs but not playable because it runs slow) (1 - awful, 2 - not good, 3 - mediocre, 4 - almost perfect, 5 - perfect) I am not usually this long winded, but I wanted to get my experiences on the record for those in a similar situation.List of Games tested on GMA 4500MHD, testing done by me (olio), contains also links to the instructions for playing on 4500M(HD) or any other laptop.įPS - first number is minimal fps during gameplay and fps in brackets are usual range during gameplay For me the compromise is perfectly acceptable and beats spending twice as much for a "gaming" notebook. I do not consider myself a serious gamer but merely a Civ junkie. The bottom line is that the game is playable.
INTEL GMA 950 GAMES PATCH
I haven't tried the new 1.61 patch yet but will wait till the third party patch is available. Since I had gone through the demo tutorial, I really didn't miss it. I tried the tutorial at some point, but it crashed. The game was brisk enough, even with more civs than I usually use. My first game was single-user with all the default options, except cranking it down to chieftain level.
INTEL GMA 950 GAMES MAC OS
GMA 950 does also fully support Aero and QuartzGL (enhanced GPU-driven user interfaces of Windows Vista and Mac OS X). This integrated solution, while not fully supporting the latest and the most demanding games, still allows a user to enjoy the mass of brilliant gaming hits of all genres. I then replaced the exe with a certain well known third party patch. Lets consider an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (GMA 950). I had to manually set the Graphics to medium again. After patching I did a quick checkup to see if it was still functioning. I installed and then let it download the 1.52 patch. With this under my belt, I bit the bullet and purchased Civ4. Trying the native resolution looked a little better, but leaderheads went AWOL. Graphics were kicked down to Medium and resolution was lowered somewhat from the machine default. It is capable of sharing up to 128Mb of memory)Īfter getting the new computer, I downloaded the Demo to see what would happen. Video:Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family (I think it is the next lower one to the 950. My new setup works but with the expected exceptions. I too was hopeful that I could now play Civ4. I recently replaced my older notebook with a new HP Pavillion DV4000 series.
